Blue Canoe is a women-owned apparel brand based in San Francisco, designing and manufacturing organic, sustainable clothing entirely in the USA since 1994. We create timeless, effortlessly stylish pieces from certified organic cotton, bamboo, and other natural fibers — made to fit the way women really live.

The position

We're looking for a skilled Adobe Illustrator artist to join us on a contract basis to create technical style sketches for our product line.

What you'll do

• Create precise, proportional technical flats (line guides) for new garment styles, matching the style and quality of our previous contractor's work

• Draw detailed close-ups of construction elements (seams, stitching, trims, closures) to support our tech pack specs

• Work from physical samples, measurements, and design notes to produce sketches used by our production team and manufacturers

• Turn around 12 new styles per collection, twice per year, plus periodic updates to existing specs
